Glycerin Soap

How to Make Glycerin Soap


Rose Glycerin Soaps


Ingredients:


Petroleum gel


1 glycerin soap base


100 gm rose petals


Rubbing alcohol spray


Molds (shape of your choice)


4-5 drops of rose essential oil


5-6 drops of pink or red food color


Procedure:


Take a double boiler, set it on a low flame to melt the glycerin bar.


For ten to fifteen minutes boil rose petals on another flame till the glycerin bar completely melts.


After 10 to 15 minutes take out the petals from the boiling water and place them on the tissue paper, so that the water present in is soaked up.


Now, add the remaining ingredients - rose essential oil, pink or red food color and the boiled rose petals into the melted glycerin soap base.


Stir it continuously, until all the ingredients are properly mixed.


Now, take the mold of any shape of your choice and apply petroleum gel in it.


Pour the prepared mixture into the mold and allow it to set for four to five minutes.


Leave it to dry for three to four hours after spraying rubbing alcohol. Take out the soap from the mold afterwards.


Shea Butter Glycerin Soaps


Ingredients:


2 oz oatmeal


1 oz caster oil


1 oz shea butter


1 teaspoon beeswax


2-3 cups of grated glycerin bar


7 to 10 drops of lavender essential oil


1 to 2 drops of food color of your choice


Procedure:


Take a medium sized bowl and keep glycerin soap and beeswax together to melt in a microwave. This can also be done in a double boiler on a low heat.


Pour the liquid of the glycerin soap and beeswax in a bowl and mix the other ingredients that include oatmeal, caster oil, shea butter, food color of your choice and lavender essential oil in the specified quantity and stir it well.


Caster oil is added to make the soap lather, shea butter is added as it is a moisturizing agent and beeswax to give a shape to the soap.


Once you have mixed all the ingredients, pour the soap in the mold and let it settle for a night.


Coconut Glycerin Soaps


Ingredients:


12 ounces lye


8 ounce glycerin


1 pound 9 ounces caster oil


2 pound 8 ounces palm oil


1 pound 12 ounces Ethanol


1 pound 9 ounces distilled water


1 pound 4 ounces sugar dissolved in 15 ounces distilled water


Procedure:


Start making glycerin base soap by heating lye and water. Once it is thoroughly heated, keep it aside to cool until 130 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.


Now, in another bowl heat caster oil, coconut oil and palm oil and follow the same procedure of the lye and water mixture.


After, both the mixture have cooled down to the required temperature, mix them and stir the solution continuously for five to ten minutes.


Next, add ethanol to the solution and stir it. Now the solution that is in front of you should be clear.


Take a double boiler and let the mixture boil for two hours.


After the stipulated time, add glycerin and sugar. Stir the solution continuously for three to five minutes.


Add the desired fragrance and transfer the solution in a mold and allow it to cool for some time so that it becomes tough.
